Stereotypes series examines how differences in modern identities are reiterated through the forms and narratives of popular culture.
The works are inspired by diverse sources, such as the reminiscence of vanishing "oriental" city of Lucknow by Abdul Halim Sharar, a comic-book account of the arrival of the Arab general Muhammad bin Qasim to Sindh, and Bollywood lyrics.
