Neolith [Metal Man] is a series of small ceramic sculptures suggestive of historical museological artifacts. Playful plastic objects are transmuted into permanent morphologies that recall museum objects, surrealist totems, repetitive pop motifs, and the ornamental schemas of historical and modernist architecture. By relocating everyday aesthetic values upward and across deep time, the Neolith series draws attention to the uncanny materiality and sensory plentitude of life in urban South Asia.
